Painting Camp 2013

Leonardo Da Vinci   was the painter we talked about today. First we read his history from several sources and wrote notes about his life on the aged paper we made on Monday. We also doodled on the pages making them look like his famous notebooks. The only thing we didn't do is invent anything or write backwards on them. We did find out many facts about how he became an artist and what he was like. Next we tried to paint pictures in a similar style as he did. We used dark earthy colors and tried to make our subjects lighter then the mysterious background.

The first day of painting camp was spent talking about color theory and making our color wheels. We also talked about themes for the rest of the week and aged some torn paper with tea to make it look like it was from 500 years ago.
